Carol Weicker
I have been a Christian for forty years. I have seen and
been so thankful for the faithfulness of God.
For over twenty years, God has opened many doors for me to sing and share my story of God’s healing in my heart and life. My passion has been to speak life and healing to the broken-hearted. My favourite Bible verse is,
“For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and
a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
Three years ago, I remember going to the altar at church
one Sunday morning. It had been a rough year, with
challenges and heartbreak. Even though I had been a
Christian for many years, I stood at the altar with a
newfound zeal in my heart. I told the Lord I was ready to do
whatever He wanted, wherever He wanted me to go. Spring, 2014, God called me to go on my very first mission trip. I had no idea even where the Czech Republic was located on the map, but I saw a post in our church bulletin, and my heart was stirred.
After much prayer, I talked to Jody and Rachael Rector
and just KNEW, that I was supposed to go! So I did! It is
hard to convey the joy that filled my heart when I was
there! I also sensed that I would be going back there
someday.
I have now been there three times! The first was the hockey
trip from our church with the Rectors. I DID NOT play hockey! The second time I did a singing and speaking tour. The third time, again, with a team from our church led by the Rectors.
God has put a deep love in my heart for the Czech
Republic and the precious people who live there! In a land
where there is such a high percentage of atheism, I see
such hope! God is working and bringing change.
I am excited to be a part of the Living Walk Ministry! I so
appreciate the Rectors and their love and heart to reach
the people of Czech Republic with the Gospel of Jesus
Christ! I am equally excited to see the love and heart they
have for young people, to encourage them to “seek first
the Kingdom of God!”
I feel blessed and honoured to stand alongside this
ministry. I am very excited to see what God is going to do
in hearts and lives as we “Living Walk” in obedience to our
Heavenly Father!
